NEWARK, NJ, October 19, 2011 — NFL Alumni Executive Director and President George Martin is giving a Cadillac Escalade purchase serious consideration. The former New York Giants defensive end has been test-driving a Platinum-Edition Escalade ESV since last week when Cadillac sponsored the inaugural NFL Alumni Celebrity Golf Classic in Oradell, NJ, benefiting the NFL Alumni Foundation’s local youth initiatives.
The vehicle’s spacious comfort was the first luxury Martin took note of. “It’s comfortable for a guy my size—it just envelopes you."
Cadillac outfitted Martin with the extended-cab ESV model, touted by Edmunds as “the Big Kahuna of the Escalade luxury SUV family.”
Already a fan of the unique mix of styling, utility and handling, Martin describes the vehicle as “an automobile work of art that encompasses the ruggedness of a truck and the elegance of a sports car—with sports car performance to match.”
But as a grandfather, Martin says the rear-view camera is the feature he most appreciates. “When you have children or grandchildren, you’re always aware of their safety.
The rear-view camera gives me confidence that they are out of harm’s way when I’m backing out of the driveway.”
